Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day at Roxel UK
Roxel UK Ltd is proud to support International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on 23rd June 2024, which is a global celebration of the achievements and contributions of women engineers. With this year’s theme, “Enhanced by Engineering,” Roxel UK will celebrate the outstanding achievements of our women in engineering roles at our Kidderminster site in Worcestershire, to promote more females into the career.

Roxel UK’s Commitment to Women in Engineering:
- Supporting Industry Working Groups – we actively participate in industry working groups targeting the attraction and retention of woman and early careers in Engineering fields such as the defence industry.
- Educational Outreach – We partner with schools, colleges and universities to inspire the next generation of female engineers, offering workshops, work experience and apprenticeships.
- Workplace Policies: We ensure our workplace policies support work-life balance, professional growth, and equal opportunities for all employees. Our wellbeing and mental health support is integrated into our community, bringing together a unique culture to support all employees.
International Women in Engineering Day, organised by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES), aims to raise awareness about the underrepresentation of women in engineering fields. It celebrates their accomplishments and encourages more women and girls to consider careers in engineering. By shining a light on role models and pioneers, INWED nurtures an inclusive and diverse engineering workforce, vital for innovation and progress.
